So Where Are We Headed?
I've been using my phone to post from, as I have been without a laptop for a few months now. Its crazy sitting here, writing this, whilst staring at a small screen. Knowing that it can be read, by people in many different countries around the world.
Technology blows my mind sometimes, but mostly, it scares me. I understand that we as humans, are evolving and that brings change with it and advancements. But I can't help think how easily technology, could begin to bite back at us. As in, modern technology that we are faced with now.
It could go two ways, it really depends, on whose hands it is in and what their intentions are with it. I think its fair to say that so far it's used mainly for human surveillance. It is in my eyes anyway.
I also don't really trust the people who have access to the most powerful forms of technology. Not with what their intentions are.
But yet, our ability and skill in which to build and create, is what sets us apart from other animals. Its amazing to look at what has been created, by the hands of humans. But when greed comes into it, when we are led by our ego, technology can go in a very different direction.
But I'm trying to focus on the positives, even thought it kind of scares me, because I don't want to live in fear. I want to live fully, in my live.
Take joy in hearing my daughter, get super excited about finding grapes and bananas on the table. Hearing her say "yummy", whilst doing a little twirl.
Cos all of this, this fear, pulls me away from the present. The only thing that actually fucking matters.
What is happening right now!
There is so much in the world right now, that is trying to steer us away from the present moment. Our heads swarming with information, our eyes over loaded with images from our phones, t.v's and computers.
How much of our thinking, is really our own?

We are SO addicted to technology, but it's only a teeny weeny part of what matters. The thing is, whatever the people in control of it do, it's because we get sucked in so easily!
Technology has taken over everything except our lives and honestly, thinking about everything will just bring fears. There was a particular day I wrote a post about the world going blackout, I thought it would be the end of the world because of how much we rely on technology for everything.
The importance of technology still can't be quantified because of the world population, it would be difficult for every one to access lot of things without the intervention of technology.
The positive side of technology is what we should focus on and we can keep hoping that powerful technologies in the world doesn't fall into wrong hands.

I agree wholeheartedly. Most "tools" that were originally developed with good intentions can be misused for the opposite. Living in anything but the present is a recipe for disaster, you miss out on too much in the process. I think your daughter has the right idea and clearly you recognize it because you immerse yourself in it with her. That's what counts 🌱
