Taking from Beckstroms's Law, of which I am great fan of, I would like the change the core question of the projects, and ask - "What value can Hive add to you (students)?".

I love this intentional inversion!

Yes, I tasked my students with "creating value for society" using the Hive blockchain, but you are absolutely correct that one of the best ways for them to do that is to figure out ways the Hive blockchain can add value to them personally (because they themselves are representative of a HUGE demographic).

Although many of my students were already thinking in this direction (i.e. what can I do that would be helpful to other college students), I will specifically ask them, "What value can Hive add to you?" in class tomorrow.
