Nature is Sexist

There is much criticism today about our "sexist patriarchal society" that is holding women back and preventing them from achieving the same success as men in various domains. If there is not equal representation among the sexes in every career, they conclude that it must be the result of sexism. "When we smash the patriarchy, there will be many female Elon Musks who will be better than Elon Musk," or so they say. But is that same patriarchy and sexist hierarchical structure of society preventing women from obtaining equal representation as serial killers? Or as Camille Paglia said, "There is no female Mozart because there is no female Jack the Ripper."

To expect equal numbers of men and women in every occupation is insane and contrary to all scientific evidence. Men and women are, on average, biologically and psychologically different. Men are simply better suited by nature to do certain things than women. It doesn’t mean women cannot do those things, or even be as good as other men. Take, for instance, computer programming or playing golf. Some women can be better than some men at those things—but only a small minority of women will be better than the average man. The majority of women will either be not interested or not as good as men at male-dominated tasks. Vice versa for different fields that women are better suited for biologically and/or psychologically (such as nursing, therapy, and childcare). Again, it doesn’t mean that men cannot do these things; but on average, more women will be drawn to those fields.

To expect equal representation of men and women in all fields, especially those proven by science to be more male-oriented is irrational. To force women into roles where men are superior will result in inferior performance. Over time, this leads to the deterioration of society—which explains much of the decay we are seeing now.

This doesn't necessarily mean women should be entirely excluded from male-dominated roles throughout society as they were in the past. After all, Paglia herself is intellectually superior to scores of midwit men. If an individual woman can outperform a man, she should be promoted above him. But in certain fields that will be rare. Inequality is natural. Making equal sexual representation the goal of a society will only lead to the downfall of that society.
