Tones and I is the stage name of Tony Watson, an Australian who went from being a street artist to being a leader on the most important music charts. At the age of 19 he accomplished this unexpected feat. He starts on the street and shows your music to passersby. He didn't expect much and enjoyed what he did until one day he decided to upload a song. Hoping his friends would hear him, he was shocked to discover that he was now the first Australian to top the world charts. He is the lead singer of the band Dance Monkey.

The song was written one night after Tony had a long sleepless night. The name "dancing monkey" refers to a person (or, in this case, an animal) who performs tricks, dances, or does something to entertain others. That is why the Australian singer gave his debut song this title.

A total of $10,298,960 was raised for the cause. In January and February, Spotify was replaced by The Weekend as the most listened to platform. In addition to being the most searched song on the Shazam platform.

The first EP, The Children Are Coming, includes title tracks such as Dream Blind, Johnny Run Away, Jimmy, Never See the Rain, Monkey Dance and this album. All of these songs are about his experiences from his time on the streets.
