I agree but your tribe is also in a unique position. Other tribe owners can issue and won’t likely be noticed as there is so much noise. It would be very easy to spot a pob issuance outside of reward pool.

There is a way for proofofbrainio to make it so he can't issue any more coins, an option no one I've seen has mentioned yet...that is to delete your passwords from your computer/system so that it is a "lost account." In this way, no one will ever be able to issue new tokens...again, you'd have to trust the person saying they deleted the info.
The password is still available to ScotBot and the Hive Engine team as they use it to issue the reward pool.
There is as much trust that someone that someone truly deleted the keys (impossible to confirm) as there is hoping they won’t print more tokens to their own benefit.

Wow, so POB is still centralized, dang! Not sure why by design too, sounds like the creators likes to put easy back doors 🚪🧧 in all their tokenomics! I just thought of another potential problem with this, without even adding one coin the owner could manipulate the price down by the mere suggestion of possibly adding some coins! I.e. for example @proofofbtainio could one day do a post that asks for all of us to vote 🗳 to add tokens or not. Even if he has no intention, and just the possibility could send the price down. Manipulation is another factor this enables. I doubt he would, but what if adding one million mote coins for a new app, or what if data storage skyrockets and there is no other option to keep the platform up! In the future anything can happen! Hopefully the devs, under @themarkymark's purview can fix this up soon! Maybe marky can get a proposal or something to get it done! 🤙 🤙 🤙
