Personally I kind of gave up on single board computers. Mini PCs have come so far they have almost eliminated the advantage of single board computers.

I still use a few Pis but I don’t see me buying anymore. I’m not sure what will replace it. I do feel ARM is going to get a lot more common since Apple set the stage with their M1 architecture.

While a lot of SBC are superior to the Pi their lack of software and hardware compatibility always make it as a compromise.

Performance to power ratio at an affordable price.

I replaced dual Xeon 4U server with a couple $375 mini pcs and got faster performance for 1/10th the power draw while also being clustered.

My entire cluster stack runs in about 30W while serving 3 VM and almost 80 containers with very snappy performance.

I have a three mini pc Proxmox cluster.

I have a full server as a truenas server NAS with a mini pc with usb drive as back up NAS.

Then I have a machine for AI.

I do not use AWS but I do have servers in different countries as well as vpses.

Yes, I check in once in a while looking to see if any project is using it.
