New Awesome 3D Printer Setup and First Print
This new Bambu Lab A1 Mini 3D printer is absolutely amazing. It is super sleek and fancy. This thing has a bunch of sensors and programs that make it extremely efficient and are a major upgrade from what I have been using. So needless to say, I am now addicted. I made an unboxing video, but it was garbage, so I figured I would settle for a setup post.
Once I got it all setup, which was stupid easy by the way unlike the Ender 3's that I currently have, I got the software downloaded for my Mac and the app on my iPhone and got signed up for a Bambu Labs account which connects everything. Part of the printer setup is connecting to WIFI so I can actually control it and monitor it from anywhere with the mobile app. My Enders need an SD card, so if you ever make changes, you have to go and eject the card, plug it into your computer, reload the file, eject the SD card, and put it back in the printer. With this new A1 Mini and the Bambu cloud system, I just send the job from the slicer to which ever printer I want to run. I got to see multiple machines in action in my buddy's drone part factory, so I am excited to start scaling up with these machines.
The best part about this printer is the insane speed and accuracy! I mean my first print is a module for my hydroponics tower that I am doing in a transparent filament for a show display so that people can see the insides in action and see how it works. Normally, this one part would take nearly 10 hours on the Ender 3. How about only 3 hours and 47 minutes! That's a serious cut in production time! Not only was it faster, but I literally have ZERO cleanup work like sanding or grinding to do so that saves a bunch of time!
Needless to say, I am absolutely in love with this new 3D printer and will certainly be rolling any of my upcoming income into more and more of them. At $250 on sale right now, I need to try and secure as many as I can get my hands on. This is where I need startup capital so I am about to be getting up a proposal for some crowdfunding of some sort.
Anyway, until next time...
Be cool, be real, and always abide!
