Change of Plans for Mining Rewards For My Solar Mining Farm
As I crunch some numbers on this little solar powered mining project I have going, I am seeing where I can seriously boost my overall revenue if I take my Dogecoin (DOGE) and Litecoin (LTC) mining rewards that I am going to be earning with my new setup, and move them into another investment that I can earn some yield from, then use that yield to pay off any miner loans and then buy my silver bullion.
Moving Mining Rewards into Hive Power
The decision that I am making is to use my solar powered mining rewards to rebuild my Hive Power. After the last couple of years of having to power down from nearly 30K Hive Power to really next to nothing, I have really seen the hit in my overall passive income, even with Hive ranging at lower prices for so long.
I didn't realize that I made so much as far as inflation rewards from posting and curation as I did. We look so much at the author rewards for our posts, that we tend to forget the bits we earn for curation also add up over time. Plus, I have seen that Hive is home, even with my hit and miss relationship with this platform, which is mostly just me getting tired of social media from time to time. I also have projects built here that I have been neglecting that with some new blood rolling in, could actually have some impact. So, here I am rebuilding my Hive stack.
Getting The Most From My Hive Power
In an effort to earn as much as I can from my Hive Power, I am going to be building my delegation to the @leo.voter account and building up my LEO stake for a bit until I get to a certain goal of staked LEO for my account. After that I will be going to liquid LEO that will then be used in my DEFI earning efforts, paying back DEFI loans, and building back my other stacks that I will use to buy the bullion I am eventually trying to collect.
Building My Own Money Printer
It's fun to build your own money printer. It's not a cheap venture, but it's going to be paying off in big ways over time. Once the initial costs have been recouped, then it's all profit. Mining is what got me into crypto in the first place. After watching what happened in 2008, then dealing with the hellscape that is FEMA after losing everything to a hurricane, I saw the light that was crypto. Being a bit of a hardware nerd, I quickly fell in love with the proof of work ecosystem.
So now I have returned full circle to fulfill a dream that I have had since coming into crypto and that is to build a solar powered mining farm. I found Steem/Hive when I had to stop mining in 2019 when I went on my vanlife adventure for 4 years, so that helped fill the void of earnings, but I miss putting machines to work! So now, I have the best of both worlds, and will use my DOGE/LTC rewards to build back my Hive Power, then buy silver and gold, lol.
Until next time...
Be cool, be real, and always abide with you my dudes!
Posted Using INLEO
Sounds good! I am in the process of doing something similar except want to DCA/build BTC for a buy, borrow, die type of plan/scheme.
I hold my BTC as WBTC on Aave along with USDT and use it as collateral to pay for all of this. So it's all going through a cycle.
Very nice! I hope to be well into this by the end of this quarter.
I don't buy crypto with fiat so there is no DCA for me. I earn all of my crypto through Hive, staking, mining, DEFI, and trading on DEXs.
What I am doing is taking a portion of my HIVE/LEO earnings each day and putting into SWAP.BTC. Move off when accumulates.
Not the best option, but it is regular.
Getting that snowball rolling again is absolutely the best idea.
Been rolling mine for a while now and it's getting bigger and bigger. Having a witness as really helped a lot being the majority of my earnings recently up until a few months ago where my curation rewards to witness rewards are about 50/50 now.
I would think it wouldn't take you long at all to get back to 30k!
I have been wanting to start up a witness. If I do it, I would want to self-host it. What is the best guide to get started with? I saw one from Rishi, but it was like 4 years old. Guessing it would be the same?
Hey! this is awesome news! I'll keep an eye out for updates on your mining rig, but it's awesome you'll be hanging around more and building up your HP!
Yeah, I keep sticking around even when I say I am done, lol.
What has helped is that I deleted all by the Hivelist and BlockTunes X accounts so now this is my main social media, where before, I was just sick of society, lol.
The plan sounds like a cash machine ;) First invest and then auto earning is coming its way...
!BBH
Let the machine run...
I'm glad to see there are quite a few vanlifers or former vanlifers on the platform after all! I'll be following your project closely because it really interests me—I just added you to my list of favorite users. :D
It's inspiring for me because, eventually, it's an idea I have as well. ;D
yeah, I did 4 years in a van in the Pacific Northwestern US. It was an adventure for sure. Learned more about myself in those 4 years than I ever would otherwise.
