Debido a todo lo acontecido últimamente con las redes sociales, especialmente con Twitter, muchos usuarios han estado buscando nuevas alternativas a esta aplicación basada en microblogging por tal de expandirse en Internet en caso de que no resultasen tan bien las nuevas políticas implantadas en la misma. Hoy te presentaré 5 alternativas al gran pájaro azul que quizás no sabías y que le puedes sacar provecho. ¡Comenzamos!
Due to everything that has happened lately with social networks, especially with Twitter, many users have been looking for new alternatives to this microblogging-based application in order to expand theirselves on the Internet in case the new policies implemented in it didn't work out so well. Today I will introduce you to 5 alternatives to the big blue bird that you may not have known about and that you can take advantage of. Let's get started!
Seguro pensaste en Threads al momento de leer este primer párrafo, pero te confieso que ésta no se encuentra en el top cinco que mencionaré aquí, ya que no logra competir con ninguna de las que estaré hablando. Encabezando la lista, tenemos a Orb, una aplicación de microblogging basada en contratos inteligentes donde puedes compartir con tus seguidores contenido de forma socialmente descentralizada.
I'm sure you thought of Threads when you read this first paragraph, but I confess that it is not in the top five that I will mention here, as it doesn't compete with any of the ones I will be talking about. At the top of the list, we have Orb, a microblogging application based on smart contracts where you can share content with your followers in a socially decentralized way.
En Orb, una cuenta es un NFT que posees y tienes dominio y control absoluto sobre ella, con la que puedes crear un grafo social de contratos inteligentes según las personas que sigas. Aquí, no sólo puedes subir imágenes, vídeos y GIFs, sino que también puedes subir música de forma nativa, siendo cada post un NFT aparte que puedes vender. Tiene inteligencia artificial integrada que te permite resumir contenido de lectura y escuchar canciones con líricas en tiempo real. Puedes cobrar por que te sigan, coleccionar canciones y NFTs dentro de ella en un sólo paso, escuchar música en su propio reproductor, participar en comunidades y generar ingresos de forma automática y permanente.
In Orb, an account is an NFT that you own and have full domain and control over, with which you can create a social graph of smart contracts according to the people you follow. Por otro lado, tenemos a plebstr, una alternativa muy parecida a Twitter en sus inicios con alguna de sus características, la cual se encuentra en el protocolo NOSTR, donde puedes compartir imágenes, GIFs y texto en los diferentes relays (canales de contenido) que presenta. Como en Orb, el contenido se muestra de forma general para todos los usuarios, con la diferencia de que puedes tanto dar como recibir propinas en Satoshis por tu contenido o el de otros. Una de sus grandes desventajas es el alto consumo de datos que tiene la misma, pero, sin embargo, constituye una red social que permite el onboarding masivo de usuarios a la Web3 sin intermediarios y con una curva de aprendizaje muy leve.
On the other hand, we have plebstr, an alternative very similar to Twitter with some of its features, which is in the NOSTR protocol, where you can share images, GIFs and text in the different relays (content channels) it presents. As in Orb, the content is shown in a general way for all users, with the difference that you can both give and receive tips in Satoshis for your content or that of others. One of its big disadvantages is its high data consumption, but, nevertheless, it's a social network that allows massive onboarding of users to the Web3 without intermediaries and with a very slight learning curve.
Showtime es una de esas últimas aplicaciones de este tipo creadas para la Web3, donde los músicos tienen un desenvolvimiento mayor, pudiendo mostrar y crear NFTs, compartirlos con su comunidad, pre-save canciones y aunar a todo su público en un solo lugar. Cualquier usuario puede tener esta aplicación, pero su orientación es más atraída por personas del arte musical. Showtime es una aplicación centralizada al día de hoy, que tiene como meta ayudar a expandir el contenido artístico a través de las imágenes y contratos inteligentes en esta nueva era digital.
Showtime is one of those last applications of this type created for Web3, where musicians have a major role, being able to show and create NFTs, share them with their community, pre-save songs and gather all their audience in one place. Any user can have this application, but its orientation is more attracted to people in the musical arts. Esa es Bluesky, la última app creada por el fundador de Twitter, Jack Dorsey, en la que se puedes compartir imágenes y GIFs con tus seguidores. Según su creador, Bluesky es una alternativa descentralizada a Twitter dirigida por su comunidad, que permite a los usuarios disfrutar de un ambiente social y sano libre de bots. Por último tenemos a LeoThreads, una dApp de Hive que, a pesar de aún no tener una aplicación para dispositivos móviles, es una de las alternativas más descentralizadas mencionadas en este artículo. Con ella, puedes publicar contenido (texto, imágenes y GIFs), hacer encuestas y socializar tanto en formato blogging como microblogging, además de generar incentivos monetarios en la moneda nativa del ecosistema. Con la opción de programar publicaciones se puede estar presente sin estar presente al mismo tiempo, optimizando con esto el tiempo de los usuarios. Es muy necesaria una app para dispositivos móviles para que permita un registro masivo de usuarios a la Web3 de forma escalable, rápida y social.
Finally we have LeoThreads, a dApp within the Hive blockchain which, despite not yet having an application for mobile devices, is one of the most decentralized alternatives mentioned in this article. With it, you can publish content (text, images and GIFs), take polls and socialize in both blogging and microblogging formats, in addition to generating monetary incentives in the ecosystem's native currency. With the option to schedule publications, it is possible to be present without being present at the same time, thus optimizing users' time. Muy buenas opciones todas, creo que probaré algunas, empezando por LeoThreads claro, aunque no creo que suelte Twitter del todo, por lo menos no por ahora.
