[ENG-ESP] ERC-6551- NFTs can now have its own wallets
The evolution of technology is a constant process, and part of that process is the creation of the vocabulary that connects human understanding with the purpose of new mechanisms. However, it is sometimes difficult to encapsulate complex ideas in simple words.

One of the terms that has been the subject of much debate in the Web3 sector is "wallet", used to label a common account tool such as MetaMask. Many people think that this term doesn't fully match what the tool is capable of doing. While this type of wallet may contain domain information, currencies and perhaps NFTs, it does not directly connect the user to external activities and doesn't act as a passport to all social domains, nor does it generally store hundreds of collectibles of all kinds.

Now, with the introduction of the ERC-6551 protocol, "token accounts" have been created, allowing any individual NFT to be a stand-alone "wallet", for lack of a better term. This concept was developed by the co-founder of Future Primitive and the historic NFT collection CryptoKitties, Benny Giang, and famed streetwear designer Jeff Staple. What if NFTs had their own wallets? Out of this idea came the ERC-6551 protocol, which gives each NFT its own smart contract account or wallet.

According to their creators, token wallets enable NFTs to have two important properties: the ability to own assets and the ability to participate in social governance. NFTs can now hold any other token, from ETH to other NFTs, and can be signatories in multisig or have their own ENS subdomain and participate in voting on proposals.

The term "wallet" may not fully capture everything these tools are capable of, but it's important to remember that technology continues to evolve, and with it, so will the vocabulary surrounding it. Token wallets are just the beginning of what may be possible in the world of NFTs, and I'm really excited to see where these new innovations will take us.
