Finally seeing vmmon show up in lsmod is like finally locating that one invoice you lost in the stack :)
The way you used mokutil to import thier key really saved a lot of headache.
Im glad you got past the secure boot hurdle, that part can be a real pain.
It was more easy than I expected, guess the Linux docs are secretly written for accountants.

Yes, painful and headache using VMware on Linux, it's a lot of extra feature as comprision other software such as VirtualBox, etc. There is also a need to maintain time-to-time; sometimes the same error comes again after fixing it.
I totally get why the vmware upkeep can feel like monthly account closing, you have to keep an eye on each moduel signing. its a pain that the same error pops up again after you think you fixed it :) Keeping everything signed feels rite for smooth operation, especially with secure boot in play.
Yeh, you are right.
Even an ADmin like me, who deals with numbers daily, can feel the pain when VMware modules refuse to load. I was staring at teh error for minutes before the signing steps finally clicked. Now my VM runs smooth, and and I can finally focus on my spreadsheets :)
That is why I maintain three separate systems for Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
