Time X has come!
it's time for my son to learn by heart the multiplication table😅😅

To be honest, I don't know why it's a so serious drama for all parents and kids....
Though, yeah...I do know it! Because for schoolkids it's really a tragedy.

When a kid finishes the 1st grade and has his summer vacation for 3 summer months, teachers say he should study the multiplication table at this time. So he has to come to the 2nd grade with the learnt multiplication table.
So all his free time in summer he has to study this damn table and make all other numerous tasks given to summer vacation.
So where is this FREE time and rest from school, I wonder??

I do remember my own tragedy with this multiplication table as well. I had this task from my teacher too, and I remember how friends called me to go for a walk, but Dad said:

• No, at first, you should learn the multiplication table

Of course, I hated it!
and all my friends hated it as well!

We just didn't know how to study it fast and easy. We had just this damn paper with the tablet and that's all.
It took us a lot of time and efforts, and we really hated it.

Now I try to avoid all this hell and make my son's studying easy and light.

I was searching for different methods of easy learning of the multiplication table.
Rhymes, games - there are a lot of them now. I tried to try some of them.

The main is to see what it is, why it was created and for what, how necessary it is, and how it works.

This example showed my son how necessary the multiplication table is, because it makes counting much faster.
When he tried it by himself, he had no doubts, he had to know it by heart;)

Then I showed him how it works, and what it means

Matches are nice friends for it

Then we took special cards and make the multiplication table of them

My son asked a logical question, why some cards are white instead of being colourful like others

And when I explained him that it means he had to learn not all cards but just a half of them, because all the rest dublicate others just replacing numbers

3x4 = 4x3

He was inspired so much! Now this table doesn't seem so awful and hard to him!

He has remembered the first column with the number 2 for 1 day, and he was so happy because it's the 1st and the highest one, all the rest are lower, so the task will become easier from day to day;)

We are moving on....;)
