DIY: 3D-PRINTED TABLET HOLDER

avatar

3D-printer open a world of possibilities, that's why all owners of these magical machines can create anything they dream of just for some hours!

There are a lot of resources with 3d-models which you can just download and print. But the process when you do anything from 0 is much more exciting.
Especially for my boy;)

He looks at his Dad who make models all day long, and of course, he wants to have such a skill also.
My hubby tries to show him this process and teach him soma basic things for his age.

My son had ai idea to create a holder for his tablet and for books as well. It will work fine for many things.

Ok, draw how you see it in your head, - his Dad said to him.

Tadaaam, here is his schematical drawing of what he needs;))

it looks a little bit weird, but I like that he understand how to look at objects from different sides - from the top, from the front side, and from other sides.
I remember we made some exercises to develop this skill, and they gave their benefits!

Then his Dad and my son started 3d-modelling together;)
we have 2 PC mice, and they use both of them:))

It lasted for about 1 hour, and at last we began to print!

In some hours we got what my son had created in 3d-variant!

it's really a nice tablet holder!

Oh, he was super glad to hold in hands a real thing he has created;)

That is so excellent! I was deeply touched by the picture of them both working on the model together, your sons small hand and your husbands adult hand. You should be very proud, not only of your son, but of your wonderful family that is delivering such a cutting edge education your son will benefit from as he pursues his goals as an adult. So few children are getting that education today, and the change in how things are made is so significant, I feel very strongly that lack of opportunity is a tragedy. Fortunately, your families wisdom is ensuring your children will not suffer that lack of understanding that will hold so many others back from achieving their dreams.

Thanks!

I was glad to see such a picture of their coworking as well;)
union of generations:) it's the best moments in any childhood to do something common with your parents. Anything. doesn't matter what. But a kid and a Dad, or a Mom, or both of them. Such moemnts creates unbreakable connection.
