A SEA HOLIDAY AND A MUSEUM DAY
On the 31st of October the world celebrated Hallowen. In my country it was celebrated as well, but we have another holiday this day - the International Day of the Black Sea.
Kerch is washed by the Black Sea, and it has a great meaning for development and growth of our city. When people live near the sea, it gives therm a lot of benefits: food, good health, fresh air, summer activities, a chance to have perfect sea walks and meditations etc.
We adore our Black sea as well, and that's why we decided to visit a sea museum that had a free entrance day.
I was sure the museum would be almost empty, but no...there was a huge crowd there! people of any age from 6 till 70 came there to see the museum exhibition and listen to a lecture about sea life. I was surprised!
Our lecturer told us a lot of useful and intreresting facts and we had a chance to sea many unique sea creatures.
We've visited this museum with my son already, but this day it was a visit with a lecture and it was much more interesting!
Now some photos for you, friends
alive fish in the hall
it's a whale's vertebra
and guess what it is??
it's cookies made of.... jellyfish!
at least 30% of dough is...jellyfish from our Black Sea!
we were very surprised!
my son was brave to taste and he said they were tasty and cooL!
In Kerch there is an Investigational research sea institute that has many experiments and researches about usage of jellyfish in cosmetics and food.
We have thousands of them every summer in the sea, so they decided to try;)
My son was in love with this Museum day, and now I do see he is grownup enough to listen to adult lectures and get info from them.
Beautiful Post
thanks!
It was such an interesting museum. If I will be given a chance to also visit this kind of museum, I will. I would love to discover the things and creatures deep down the ocean.
thank you! what amazing places do you have in your city? What museums?
I wanted to try the jellyfish cookies too. Hehe.. I hope I can bring my child to a museum as well. She always likes to explore new things and places.
I wasn't brave enough for it;)) actually I even don't like to look at them, so eating.....not now;))
But what a nice museum. Without a doubt a place of great learning for the little ones.
Greetings and blessings
