A Relative Trifecta For General Success

For the most part, I tend to distance myself away from being dragged down into the details of any subject or process as soon as I've understood the basic points and how they connect to form the whole.

The main reason for that is it gets too repetitive, which makes so much room for boredom and when the latter enters the building, productivity and creativity gradually exit.

Interestingly, it's the small things that overtime creates the big result, but for that to happen, we often need to cultivate patience and let things develop naturally, instead of constantly tinkering with every minor detail.

One trifecta that I've come across on achieving success, especially in competitive endeavors is:

1. High Demand
2. Irreplaceable
3. The Best

Individually, it applies to personifying these qualities in the respective field that one chooses to compete in.

For example, a top-tier surgeon in a specialized field would embody all three aspects: their skills are in high demand, they're not easily replaceable due to their expertise, and they're among the best in their field.

Proxy Agents

I can't help but wonder how it would play out from a non-individual aspect, as in creating an object, perhaps, a tool, and use that as a proxy to compete and win.

AI agents come to mind but then, it seems such tools to a certain degree have been created already.

I mean, crypto can be viewed as a financial agent and the first crypto agent, Bitcoin, kind of embodies the trifecta above.

I'm not very sure about Bitcoin as the best. I tend to agree that it is in high demand and is irreplaceable, in a way.

The challenge in creating such "proxy agents" or tools is that they must continually evolve to maintain their position within the trifecta.

Even without creating these tools and just personifying them as an individual, the same evolution still applies.

This brings us to an interesting point: the trifecta isn't a static achievement but a dynamic state. And on top of that, it's quite relative, especially number 2 and 3, irreplaceable and the best, respectively.

When we view the world from a long enough time frame, one of the realizations we naturally have is that man and his creations are replaceable.

The computer replaced the typewriter, which also replaced the quill pen. A cycle of innovation and obsolescence is constant throughout history.

A Cheat Code

There's a cheat code with individually becoming the best and not getting overly carried away by the winds of relativity, it's being your authentic self.

Nobody can beat you at being your authentic self and this also automatically makes you irreplaceable, in the sense that no one else can replicate your unique combination of experiences, perspectives, and skills.

And if good luck favours you, then you might as well be in high-demand and achieve the trifecta after already becoming the best and irreplaceable through being your authentic self.

In a way, being your authentic self is the ultimate competitive advantage against any other competitor or technology. It's the one thing that can't be fully replicated or automated.
