Feelings are not facts. This is too particularly stated and at the same time delivers the exact message. Indeed, feelings are not facts, but this doesn't omit the fact that it is not in existence neither creates an impact. Feelings are quite the rise for many problematic issues and can be said, in a way, that it is the base of any drama. You might be wondering, why are we talking about feelings on a serious topic like this. This is because feelings give rise to many situations which are troublesome for those who are mentally ill and need support while they receive drama in return. I may sound being pessimistic about feelings in general but that is not so, sometimes the most important things are which are given less emphasis on because they are narrowly looked upon. Feelings hold their own position but when mental illnesses are of concern, feelings play a major role in some conditions.

Let us take a peek into this small conversation.

Scene 1:
A: "Don't say these things to me, I can't handle it."
B: "That is your problem!"

Scene 2:
A: "Don't say these things to me, I can't handle it."
B: "Stop getting triggered so easily!"

In Scene 1, "A" is victim to circumstances. While "B" is barely understanding that it is a problem to be concerned about. This conversation is part of a person's life, where "A" is facing a breakdown or emotional trouble caused by "B" while "B" refuses to admit to it and neither provide any support, empathy, or guidance. While blame game is shifted towards "A" who is a victim. Meanwhile, "B" behaved arrogantly which is also another type of problem but before going to that one it is better to be done with this. "B" was very ignorant. This is quite a simple rough-tough conversation between us humans right? This cannot cause any mental sickness if prolonged, can it? Yes, it can.

If "A" is constantly bothered and affected by the way "B" responds, it is quite natural that "A" will be soon mentally sick, it is proved by nature. Any and every negative prolonged event affect the mental state of any human. Not everyone who engages in negative thinking has a mental illness, just like not everyone with a mental illness has constant negative thoughts. They are connected but not dependent on each other. In Scene 1, the victim is exposed to prolonged negative energy. Similarly, in Scene 2, the negative atmosphere is almost the same but still, the approach of "B" in both the scenes is different from one another, which results differently but yet affects the victim.

In Scene 2, "A" is again the victim of circumstances while "B" dismisses and belittles the emotions of "A", promoting "A" to feel that as a person "A" is too sensitive who gets triggered very easily, whereas what "A" said, that is quite direct. "B" could have understood the scene of "A" rather than just uttering words for uttering.

Here comes the discussion on feelings. When we humans try to converse with each other, every word we use from the language we talk in has multiple meanings. Therefore, it is necessary for us to respect each other's emotions while conversing and also to be more conscious of the people around us. If one is constantly sharing that she/he cannot handle something, it is impolite to disrespect that person and to continue slashing. It is very important that we as humans understand each other.

In HIVE, I have realized that here we have the freedom of speech and the scope for sharing is quite HIGH. So, why do we not utilize this rather continue to ignore, dismiss, and disrespect? Being the Centennials, I am proud and I hope we all are proud that we have come across so many hurdles and observed huge changes in this universe. With this, I would like to end today's discussion and also, it is true that I hope we all understand how to be more cautious about the feelings of others. While you give respect it might not be always that you will earn back, but definitely, you will leave your mark for sure.
