In what has to be one of the most ambitious predictions for space colonization, the leadership of MoonDao has predicted an unlikely Moon colony to be established by 2030.
Space colonization is extremely costly and requires technology that is out of our current grasp. The Elon Musk Mars colony is still being developed, and has been in development since 2016. Nations around the world are making trips to the Moon, and lunar materials and water sources are being investigated for production and colonization efforts. In short, many nations are devoting time and resources to reaching the Moon and making good use of it's resources.
The leadership of MoonDao has admitted that a Moon colony is highly unlikely to be in place by 2030, but it's good to have a lofty goal. It's a good goal, and many companies are taking the time and making investments into rockets and space colonization efforts. Blue Origin, SpaceX and traditional aerospace giants including Boeing are making huge investments into space exploration and colonization efforts along with government entities worldwide. There certainly is something to this effort.
