Help with our website! what do you think?
Introduction
We have been trying to get our website developped over recent months and have had the wonderful @gringo211985 helping us develop it. wqe welcome any feedback or ideas so check out where we are at https://stickupboys.co.uk/
The look
One of the first things we needed to decide was how it would look and what was going on with fonts and graphics and things like this. We are musicians not graphic designers so it was great to have help.
Going with our branding we went with a simple black and white look as you can see and gringo added a few moving masks which we are still developing. as you can see here.
We also thought we would add a few gifs as we are giphy trending a lot and we started adding a few in the blue...
So going with this simple look we could then apply it to everything else on the site so it all looked consistent.
The organisation
Now trying to organise what we do was tricky. There are quite a lot of us and we work in many aspects of themusic industry but also want to promote Hive as well as our Gifs and services. So this thought process is still being developped. I think we currently have to much and it is just holding information. So we started to develop the menu and also what we were offering. This has definitely changed and will change agin.
The content
Those of you that know us will know that we have a lot of content! However we had to make decisions on what we are trying to cheive on our website. Getting people to listen to music or watch youtube video is hard, it is a very over saturated market in this modern days of everyone being able to release what ever music they like! Soright now we are looking at making our website specifically for people who make music and work in studios or make music at home. So we are currently working on providing free loops and construction kits for people to download. We have done very well working for Producer Loops and sell a alot of kits on there so we though it would be great if we add lots of free loops to our website.
So at the moment we added one whole song but are planning to release different loops regularily for people to come and download for free!
We also wanted to start adding demos and tutorials to the site so people can come and learn a bit more about production and equipment. we are developing this at the moment and it is not as easy as it seems. brains is having to work overtime to do this! This is what we are working on at the moment and need to develop the web format.
Conclusion
Well this is work in progress but if you saw our old website then you will see that we are developing. we are not afraid of hard work and I think in about 3 months this will be up and running with regular content and a clear focus. Any suggestions or help are greatly appreciated!

Absolutely. Personally, I'm building web sites since 1998.. :)..but I kind of gave up last years...using simple word press done it in like 20 min, and told most of my friends and family here.."time for you guys to learn how to make your site or repair/helpdesk the Pc/mobile/" haha.. Hard to find use for it these days.
Perhaps if I could somehow integrate Hive into it....been thinking about it..

You should check out the hivepress / steempress plugins for WordPress, they allow you to post from your WP site to hive... 😀

First of all, I am not saying that the site doesn't look cool. It's simple and clean. There are just a few things I have noticed.
I think it will look much better if the white spaces are not to big

Just an idea, can't you make the frames irregular? I think something like this would match your fun character.

oh nice ideas! i think on the spaces there are ads as we are trying to monatise our website a bit! but the frames would be interesting! thank you for the support and ideas!

Yes, sometimes Google doesn't display the ads (depends on user and if you're using an adblock) but there should usually be some ads in those whitespaces you see... I might need to do something with JS where if no ad is shown then display:none; type thing. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated and love the idea of the frames around the images.

My only thought has to do with this:
Using informal English on a page is always a tricky thing. I would tend to say on a blog informal English is ok, but for a main site it should be avoided. That in mind, I'd suggest changing the header to "Wait, have you subscribed yet?" Also I'd only use one question mark, not three.

Greetings guys, this page is great. I congratulate you for the excellent work you have been doing. Some things you can work on: Reduce white space, integrate some social networks to make the page more dynamic, and include some simple animations, such as the logo.
The color palette is great, because it is its identity as a brand. In addition, there is coherence in the forms.

My previous @v4vapp proposal has expired. I have a new one which is running but unfunded right now. I'm still running @v4vapp and all my other services.
I've just updated v4v.app and I'm getting ready for some exciting new features after the next hard fork.

For understandable reasons in the current crypto climate it is harder to get funded by the DHF, I accept this so I'm asking a wider audience for help again. I will also redraft this proposal with more details (coming soon). I'm also looking for other funding sources.

I have a lot more explaining to do! Bottom line is this bridges between Hive and the Lightning Network based around Bitcoin but which is getting a lot of attention as a viable payment network for fast smaller transactions.
I will do a lot more explaining.
