Hi Sammy, there are several complexities in this simplex method. One of them is perhaps during the first iteration. To understand which is the outgoing variable, you need to calculate the minimum ratio to identify the pivot element. The minimum ratio must be calculated by calculating the ratio in the term of the RHS column with its corresponding row in the incoming variable column (in our case, x2). In this exercise, the two ratios are 4/1 and 3/0. The minimum ratio is 4, so the pivot row will be the first one, that of s1.
