With this post I would like to give a short instruction about the topic mentioned in the subject
(code notes: X700)

Jobs
In this article I try to indicate some jobs and what is its English term.
We can divide the jobs into some categories: Manual workers, professionals, medical professions, the armed forces and emergency services.
Here is a short list of some terminologies:
manual workers
carpenter = creates objects using wood.
builder = builds or repairs houses.
electrician = installs and repairs electrical things.
mechanic = repairs cars when there is a problem.
plumber = installs and repairs water pipes.
waiter/waitress = brings food to customers at their tables in a restaurant.

Professions
architect = designs buildings.
lawyer = represents people with legal problems.
engineer = plans the construction of roads, bridges, machinery, etc.
accountant = checks the financial situation of people and companies.

Medical professions
GPs = General practitioners, doctors who do not work in hospitals.
Dentists = they take care of your teeth.
Vets = are doctors for animals.
nurses = those who take care of people
surgeons = doctors who operate on people.

Armed forces and emergency services
soldier = works in the army.
sailor = is in the navy.
pilot = is in the air force.
police officer = is in the police.
fireman/firefighter = is in the fire brigade.

Looking for a job
If we want to look for a job and we have to go to an interview in English we have to introduce ourselves and therefore we will have to prepare:

• the Application form = a precise application form
• the CV = Curriculum Vitae
• a Motivation letter = a letter of motivation why we want that job.

When we look for a job we are candidates = applicants

The most suitable candidates are selected by the human resources department which in English is abbreviated to HR Deparrmtent

The English term to identify the compensation received for a job done is called salary. Below is an example with the word salary
Steve earns a lot of money. He has the highest salary in the family.

Conclusions
Lately, knowledge of the English language is increasingly requested in job interviews. I believe that it is very important for almost all professions to know English.

Lavori
In questo articolo provo ad indicare alcuni lavori e quel è il suo termine inglese.
Possiamo dividere i lavori in alcune categorie: Lavori manuali, i professionisti, professioni mediche, le forze armate e i servizi di emergenza.
Qui di seguito un breve elenco di alcune terminologie:
lavori manuali
carpenter = crea oggetti usando il legno.
builder = costruisce o ripara case.
electrician = installa e ripara cose elettriche.
mechanic = ripara le auto quando c'è un problema.
plumber = installa e ripara tubi dell'acqua.
waiter/waitress = porta il cibo ai clienti ai loro tavoli in un ristorante.

Professioni
architect = progetta edifici.
lawyer = rappresenta le persone con problemi legali.
engineer = pianifica la costruzione di strade, ponti, macchinari, ecc.
accountant = controlla la situazione finanziaria di persone e aziende.

Professioni mediche
GPs = I medici di base, dottori che non lavorano in ospedale.
Dentists = si prendono cura dei tuoi denti.
Vets = sono dottori per animali.
nurses = chi si prendono cura delle persone
surgeons = dottori che operano le persone.

Le forze armate e i servizi di emergenza
soldier = lavora nell'esercito.
sailor = è nella marina.
pilot = è nell'aeronautica.

fireman/firefighter = è nella brigata dei vigili del fuoco.

Cercare lavoro
Se vogliamo cercare lavoro e dobbiamo sostenere un colloquio in lingua inglese dobbiamo presentarci e quindi dovremo preparare:

• la Application form = un preciso modulo di domanda
• il CV = Curriculum Vitae
• una Motivation letter = una lettera di motivazione per cui desideriamo tale lavoro.

Quando noi cerchiamo lavoro siamo dei candidti = applicants

I candidati più idonei vengono selezionati dal dipartimento delle risorse umane che in inglese si abbrevia in HR Deparrmtent

Il termine inglese per identificare il compenso percepito per un lavoro svolto si chiama salary. Qui di seguito un esempio con la parola salary

Conclusioni
Ultimamente nei colloqui di lavoro viene richiesta sempre più spesso la conoscenza della lingua inglese. Ritengo che sia molto importante per quasi tutte le professioni conoscere l'inglese.
