I envy you as I've never seen a total eclipse. Did you play Bad Moon Rising on the guitar?
I think the 'state of emergency' was due to expecting lots of people to be gathering from a wide area. There's also the danger of nutters dropping something stupid.
I saw this today. It seems some people won't be told that they need to protect their eyes. Good to see you took precautions.

It's actually one of the few songs I can play, but no, I was just strumming some stuff in Gmaj.
I've actually become completely desensitized. There's no shortage of nutters. You're right about that.
If you ever get the chance, check it out. I felt a little more moved by it than I actually thought I would. It was a pretty wild experience for sure.
