This is an argument against the technology (and some blockchain stuff), but then people tolerate cars and factories that cause far more harm. It can be about what benefits we get, but also about what money the owners make. A limitless clean energy source would be game-changing, but fusion is always '30 years away'.
'AI' in various forms will be transformative, but we can't eat it.

If it can be used for the common good I'm all for it, I just can't help thinking a lot of AI is not that useful!
