Twitter & Whatsapp: Download Videos to Instant Video Messaging Features

It is so refreshing to see the social media application bringing about changes and adding new features for their userbase. Using the platform is not monotonous anymore. Firstly, it began with all happening #Twitter platform. Soon after replacing the Bird logo with “X”, the owner went ‘xtreme’ and announce Video download feature exclusively for the verified user i.e Blue tick users.

Earlier a user can able to download any images and save them on their system, but when it comes to downloading a video, they have to depend upon external website links. Where they paste the twitter link and download the stuff. Now with the added feature, a verified users can now download the videos from a specific tweet for offline viewing.

How to download twitter video?

• Log in to the platform “X”

• Look out for the video the user wanted to download.

• Click on the 3-dot on the top right corner of the tweet.

• Select, *“download video” * from the available option.

• The video will start downloading and will save into your phone gallery or your hard drive.
  However, there is a check and control on as well. A verified user can download only those videos which were not put on restriction by the original creator or poster. A user can keep their exclusive content only for viewing purpose and restrict it for further download and use. To put restriction, the user can follow the following steps:

• Create your tweet, and upload the video.

• Tap on the edit button, at the bottom right corner.

• Click on the setting button.

• Click on “Turn On or Turn Off” option next to allow video to be downloaded as per the user preference.

Once the control is enabled it cannot be changed later. The user needs to delete the post from the platform. These new features will certainly allow the user greater control over the video content. We can say it help in control the plagiarism on the twitter account. However we have the external links still available to make thing easier for non-verified users. Need to check if the internal control on twitter will all the user to restrict the download or not.

Whatsapp update

As new changes were brought in by the #Twitter account, we also have some update for #whatsapp user. The messaging application have introduced instant video messaging option to its userbase.
Earlier, a user used to send voice message over the application but now with new added feature, a use can send short video message upto 60sec of length as well. To initiate the video message follow the following steps:

• Open the recipient name and account on the #whatsapp application
• Tap on the voice message option button.
• It will then switch to video mode.
• Hold on the button and start recording short video.
• Swipe on the button to send the message.

This is exactly in same line as we used to send the voice message. It is good to see the application is bringing about new features and added updates to keep the userbase hooked to their platform. Its good to keep refreshing own stuffs.
