Robotic Quest : For a Meaningful World
Thanks to movies like Blade Runner, Terminator, and The Matrix, we get to see what a robot can do. There are always a long running discussion about the superiority between the two humans and robots. However, the debate over whether robots will eventually replace humans in every field of work is still a contentious one, with arguments on both sides of the aisle. Seems Robots have an edge over humans. Robots beat humans at tasks that they are naturally not very good at.
Robots vs Humans
Among the various creations of God, human intelligence is one of the best gifts given to humans by God. In the meanstime, the robot are the results of those human intelligence only. Like two sides of a coin, both of them have their own strengths and weaknesses, and both are essential in their own right.
Humans are biological creatures. They are intelligent, creative, adaptable, capable of learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking. They possess emotions and empathy, allowing them to connect with others on a deeper level.
Robots, on the other hand, are precise, efficient, and tireless. They can perform repetitive tasks without error and work around the clock. Robots can be programmed to perform a wide range of functions, from simple repetitive tasks to complex decision-making processes. Even though they lack the emotional depth and creativity of humans, but robots make up for it in bringing precision and efficiency into their output.
My Robot Preference
Robots are already nicely teaming up with humans. The drones or robotic bomb squads or gardening ,Robots already making news all over the place. The craze for robots are so high, that everyone would need a robot for themselves. From cleaning home, to cooking food to taking care pets, to daily chores to other purpose. Humans needed them to ease their work. If I ever needed a one then The first choice would be to print money. But that not seems to be so feasible as it would have alresdy existed by now. But rather.....,
I would like to make a Robot that could determine and calculate the rainfall probability in a specific region

Why I need that?
I have many reasons to make such robots. Last 2 years we had unexpected rainfall in our area. As our farming is completelly dependent on season rainfall. Any seasonal imbalances causes huge loss to the farmers. If I calculate my own loss then it stands for $120 a year. Gor once, it does not appears to be big, but considering plight of our farmers such amount is huge.
Robots, are machines that are programmed to perform specific tasks. And a correct weather forecasting would solve many problems of the farmer. There are weather forecasting tools and apps available. But those were not accurate all the time. I needed the robots if the chances of rsinfall exits in a particular area or not.
We experinced in last 2 years that rain plays hide and seek with us. We have the heavy clouds during farming season but soon they disappear. After raining over particular area abstaining from rest. Such inaccurate rsinfall are too risky for farmer. As they unable to decide when to sow theor crops or not. Few years we have seen a huge loss.
Form of my Robots?
If I ever wins to get this kind of robot I will be able to enjoy this world and may not have fear to help people who actually deserve it. I do not have any specific form right now to describe into. But whenver I come across "robots" my potential ability to create the creature from my imagination gives me a machinary shape and size.
It got to be at least humanoid structure. The face can be simple to the point resembling to a human.The lower body can be anything that works. Legs, wheels, etc. It must have a “functional arms” to have the ability to grasp something effectively. It got to be able to talk back with output and hear spoken commands, and react to them appropriately. Finally, it has to be able to perform some useful task, within the limits of its ability.
This is just my imagination figure but the actuals could be different. Robots helping the farmer helps people in everyday, even it helps rhe economy to grow. I know there are many doubts relating to my type of robots.

The 50% of the solution is already available. Not be a robot but an AI-powered bot. You may need to do all the physical work or literal heavy lifting. But bots are available with access to the meteorological dept data for forecasting and planning the crops.
With the release of ChatGPT 4.0 I think they are letting the users create their bots with the requirement and no coding knowledge.
I am enjoying the AI revolution. This means people are trying to automate as much as they can so that they can enjoy life or watch tiktok, I am not sure what they are doing with their free time. Hahaha..
Bhai, we had quite a bitter expe. Generally rainfall didn't happend in the m/o of July- August during the main farming season....butbit delayed to sept/Oct. Most the seeds sowed were spoiled and as farmers made manual effort fir sowing. By the time happened few farmer able to sowed again and able to grow crops.
If there could be an instrument to detect actual rainfall then there will be a good farming....(hope I make sense)
But I noticed that the Rainfall is going down with each passing year. The amount of rain Chennai used to get in the previous year was heavy and now extreme climate.
I think we need Green Revolution 2.0 to beat this situation. With financial aid from Govt and infrastructure, this can be done. There are methods to tackle such issues but everything needs money for a solution.
Agar paisa ho to dessert mein bhi kheti kar de rahe hain log.
Lets hope that nature is kind enough to help the poor out.

Your reasoning is very good, you are putting technology in function of the needs of the human being, that's how it should be. Especially such a laudable purpose that can bring prosperity to the place where you live. The ideal would be that this robot is controlled by human beings, the form of them is what I care less, the interesting thing is the purpose for which you are using it.
Controlling them.is important considering they can create mess easily.
It would be a good idea to have a robot that tells the weather report, because sometimes the weather forecast might fail.

As a child, robots were an illusion for me, and with the hustle and bustle of everyday life we sometimes don't realise that we are now living the future we dreamed of. Indeed drones are the favourite robots of the moment, I haven't controlled one yet, but I hope to enjoy the experience. I like how you highlight the strengths of man and machines, when they come together they do incredible things, in fact I love to see robotic parts to replace body parts, it's a way of joining God's creation with man's...
If we look around we are surrounded by robots....."alexa" " Shree" are few ......without them can't even imagine a life.....but too much dependency is not good and we have to restrict ourself
hmm but don't we usually have this information available online and the forecast on the news that updates us on the weather
Wouldn't the robot be using similar technology to get the information for the weather? What difference would it be using a robot vs whatever app or tools out there that can be improved to be more accurate
For me I think I'd create a robot that can focus on saving peoples live but that's just me~
Ad said, few years we had a good hid & seek game with rsinfall. There was news , there are tool. But when it comes to rain they only forecast but never had rains. The water quantity on the clouds are nil.

hmmm then im not sure. I didn't know the tools were that in accurate though? I guess maybe in the future we will have a dome and the weather will just be automated and controlled lol like in one of those movies I forgot the name

Due to climate changes there are unpredictable behaviours with the cloud....The rain generally happening after the regular season..and by that time many farmers gives up their hope of sowing and farming.....and whennit rains they are not prepared..... "Rainman sounds good instead of ironman 😉
Hmm I thought technology already has it where the farmers can water their own stuff? Or is it really dependent on rain from clouds? I guess maybe its for the higher end farms. like you do know hyrdoponic?
Yes I heard of this....but some parts are bit remote...where I stay is around a wild area....and such technology are not introduced....we still have old farming method or rain dependency...
i see hopefully soon u guys will get some upgrade. i think its the future~

It would be great to have a robot that could give us the correct weather forecast, that would be really good, like the way you shared your idea, this could prevent many losses and even deaths of people or animals, if somehow forecast a rain, storm or blizzard for example.
I believe that many lives would be saved.
This is what I wanted to have looking at the farmer plight. The uneven weather causes lot of spoilage.....The normal forecast shows rainfall but such rains happens in later time....if there is an accuracy farmer could take steps accordingly and proceed with farming process

There are forecasting tools too.....but u know there are no surety... like this year's...it rained 20km away from.my village but there was no rain my village...makjng life difficult for farmer...and when it rained farmers lost all their hope....and in hurry they did some farming now wondering if there will be good yeild or not

It's good that there are such robots that tell us about the weather in a good way and they can be useful in the same way that when we know that it's going to rain, we do everything. Keeps it in the right place and doesn't go outside so that there is a problem again in the rain.
That would be very beneficial...at least farmers can utilize their time properly....and plan better
