The technology expansion has brought in many new things to human life. Every day a new gadget comes into the market and we easily make it an integral part of our life. We get so much influence with it that it becomes difficult to easily part away. Talking of gadgets then we do not need to forget the recent surge of wearable products. The Indian wearable market is already exploding, the use of wearable products has grown about 47% in the last year and it shipped about 100 million units of wearable products for the year 2022. The number is in itself an astonishing figure which shows the over dependence on these products by the Indian consumer. Going by the recent figure, it is expected that India to becomes top wearable products markets in 2023. This year India is projecting to ship around 130-150 million units out of total of 504 million of total units of these wearable products. The use of smartwatches and hearables drives the recent surge. India to account for 26% of total wearable shipped globally. And is expected to surpass China and USA in the year 2023.

Indians were already buying at least one wearable for every mobile purchase. The recent surge was seen post the pandemic 2019. The usage of these wearable has increased tremendously and people are getting used to these products easily, as it makes their life easier and also adding some kind of style statement in their lifestyle. In today’s time, any person can be seen carrying one or the other products with them. The products were seen priced quite affordable making people to own or two products. The products are available at a cheaper rate, *for example a normal good quality neckband can be available at $10 (INR 800) which makes any Indian consumer to own them easily.

It is good to see Indians adopting to this technology and making it part of life. India is now a huge market of these products becomes a world hub for all the wearable products. But how this technology going to affect the human life in future is some thing to think about as too much dependence has some side effects too. But good to see Indian standing neck to neck globally in the Wearable products market.

Peace!!
