6 Weeks Left To Sign Out || Plans After School

It has been 5 years since I had gotten admission into the university, I had earlier spent two years in the polytechnic since after I finished from High School. This has made it 7 years in total I have been in the traditional walls of a school. Now, it is just 6 weeks left to the day I will be signing out and be free from the burden as a student, but I know one thing, I will remain a student of life forever because the day one stops learning, he stops living.

These past 7 years, I have met a lot of people and I have gone through the stage of finding myself, finding who I am and who I want to be, and I must say I think I have an idea of what that is and what I will focus on immediately after I am done with formal education.

Although there are 6 weeks to go, there is still a lot to be done under that six week. I have about two weeks of lecture, one lecture free week, two weeks of exam, and the last week to finish my project and defend it. Then by thereafter I hope to finally have all the heavy-duty weight lifted off my shoulders.

My Final Year Project

My final year project is about 60% ready, although the drone is yet to fly and the machine learning is yet to be implemented on it. The model for the project has been built and it is working while testing on PC, the task at hand at the moment is to make it work on a raspberry Pi and also build a webpage where the results will be displayed.

Since we are four, two of my partners are working on the Machine Learning side of the Project, while me and someone is working on the drone. Apparently, the guy is doing nothing at all and it looks like I am the only one it. The delay I am facing right not is the components I am expecting to be delivered from AliExpress, which I thought will take a maximum of 3 weeks has decided to take up to a month or even more. So I am waiting patiently for its arrival.

My Final Exams

My final exams are in three weeks' time, and it looks I have not resumed this semester. I have not been studying or taking my academics serious and next week will be full of Continuous Assessment Tests (CA Tests). This weekend will be the last and greatest academic come back of all time! I will be reading as if my exams is just next week even though it is a little farther, it is not so far.

There will be no space to read or cover up, so now is the only time I have. Also it is needed to withhold my GP. I am at the exact point that holds me on Second Class Upper. Because of that, these last exams mean a lot and should not be taken likely.

The Thought of Finishing/After

I cannot wait to be a free man, to really do the things that I want and interested in. I have lost interest and grown tired of school as it is not the way I thought it will be. Now my life in school is just to read for the sole purpose of passing or writing an Exams and after that, I literally will not remember 90% of what I was I learnt again.

I know after finishing it will be a whole process of learning again, and this time learning by myself and not within the walls of a school but maybe till the time I go for my masters.

For Masters, I don't plan to do it in my country Nigeria, the education there is flawed and the course which I intend to go for, Masters in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, is not available in the country.

Future Investments

Before going for masters, I will spend some time horning my skills and also grow some money by saving and investing. When I say investing, this time I will look into investing in myself, and something physical (Not crypto). I don't know for now, but thoughts are going into real estate and agriculture. I don't plan to go big, because where is the money for that? I will just start as small as possible and see how I can grow from there.

Definitely, for this investment plan, I will not be doing it alone. Will definitely have the intelligent support from the love of my life. Her insights will do a lot on it.
