I really wish I could participate in these conversations with you about F1 because you always have so much to say on what I write about. I just don't watch the sport very often and perhaps I should change that. It seems that the whole world is so passionate about this but I just never got into it. I need to find a friend who is passionate about it and get him to take me to a bar and have him walk me through WHY I should be excited about certain things. This is a bit necessary in sport I believe.

You have to understand the teams tactics and strategies in order to enjoy the sport. This is like knowing the rules and various plays in American Football because without it you are missing out on so much. Maybe one of these days we can get together and I can talk you through this. That would actually be quite cool.
yeah I would like that as well. I always just passed of Cricket and Rugby as being boring but then an Australian friend of mine who works here on occasion decided to have me over and walk me through WHY certain things were good and what the hell is going on. That changes everything when you have someone doing that.
I know that non-Americans that I know are very critical of American football for the same reason. There are so many rules and stopping and starting that people who are unfamiliar with the sport don't know what the hell is going on. It's tough to enjoy anything when you don't understand it.
If you don't know the rules then you don't understand the plays and you would be lost not making much sense and you would have no interest in watching those sports.
