Breast Cancer : Early Detection Can Save Lives.
Still on the topic of the month.. it's still breast cancer awareness campaign, today I will like to write on few tips on how to detect breast cancers.
This is because when detected early and presentation is made at the hospital early, the chances of full recovery is very high, hence necessitating the clamour for early Presentation for expert care
The greatest symptom that gives away abnormalities in the breast is the presence of lump in the breast.
Lump in itself doesn't automatically means you have breast cancer.... Nahh! It's just a pointer that there is an outgrowth there which could be benign or malignant and could only be confirmed by doing a biopsy test at the hospital.
Self-Check:
This could easily be done at anytime and anyday we feel. All we have to do is just to get ourselves acquainted with the right technique of doing that.
During the course of this breast awareness campaign, we taught it using various platforms and I guess a lot of persons have learnt it but then if you didn't, there's no cause for alarm as you could just get into our platform and learn from there..

Once you Discovered something that looks like a lump, your next line of action shouldn't be to sit down and watch it grow but rather quickly book an appointment with a medical doctor to get their expert opinion and possibly care.
For moments when you are not sure if you felt a lump or not but definitely know that something is not right, you can opt for a second look.
This time around requiring the use of specialised machines such as;
- The Ultrasound Machine
- The Magnetic Resonance imaging machine
Then, if there is a lump, your next course of action will be to schedule for a biopsy to be held
Like I said, presence of lump automatically doesn't mean that you have Breast Cancer, it might be fibroadenoma which is a benign lump.
It is only said to be cancerous is the lump biopsy result came out positive for malignancy.
By so doing, even if it was a malignant type which will lead to Cancer but because you presented to the hospital almost immediately you noticed it giving it no room for spread and metastasis, it will be easily curtailed and treated.
The prognosis is always very good and wonderful.
With these reasons, I believe we have all seen that indeed, early presentation at the hospital saves lots of lives.
This post will be a wrap for our campaign on breast cancer awareness this year and I must appreciate you all for always taking your time to read and leave comments... I appreciate
If you just came across the campaign for the first time, you can refer to the previous posts, it might be helpful in one way or another

In any kind of disease if we can detect early it's good for fast recovery.
I have learned a few more things about breast cancer and I think someday the knowledge will be helpful and if I get the opportunity, I will try to spread it as much as I can.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
