Definition of Non-renewable Resources: The natural resources which are exhausted earlier due to continuous use and cannot be regenerated after exhaustion, the resources which are limited in quantity are called non-renewable resources. Examples of non-renewable resources are coal, gas, petrol, mineral resources etc.

Natural gas management

There are about fourteen gas fields in Bangladesh. Natural gas is being used for power generation and as fuel. 60-70% of natural gas is methane CH4. Gas is extracted with the help of pipelines. Gas mines are currently extracting the maximum amount of gas by operating water under high pressure. Gas management is accomplished by ensuring maximum and optimum utilization of extracted gas.

Gold, silver, aluminium, copper, iron etc. are significant among other mineral resources. These mineral resources are mined with the help of special methods and those are

In addition to the above management, the following methods are adopted for the management of non-renewable resources.

The methods are as follows–

Any resource will soon be depleted if consumed in excess or overused, so minimum production and consumption as needed increases resource sustainability and helps in conservation. Resources are conserved by increasing the use of current resources and reducing the use of stored or accumulated resources. Ensure strategic utilization of resources. Appropriate utilization of resources in the application of technical knowledge.

Some resources are not used directly but through the application of technological knowledge, their excellence is enhanced and their conservation is facilitated. Stop wastage of resources, it is important to stop wastage during production and use of resources and ensure their use scientifically.

Resources can be saved if the same material can be reused repeatedly and completely through the use of advanced technology. If the technical excellence of the workers increases, it is possible to produce more industrial goods using relatively fewer raw materials. And through this, it is possible to conserve resources.

As the skill of the worker increases, specialization in production or the products produced occurs. As a result, the quality of the resource is improved and the durability of the function is increased, which helps in resource conservation. Resource conservation can be achieved by consciously re-manufacturing reusable resources with consumption. Resources can be conserved by increasing public and private initiatives and raising public awareness among the people in all classes about resources.
