My Sister's Visit To The BOTI FALLS - The Twin Waterfalls

Greetings to everyone on Hive and Cent community.

I usually post crypto based blogs in this community but for today I wanted to share a little experience my little sister had in one of her school trips to a very awesome tourist attraction in our country. I hope you'll enjoy it guys.

I'm truly excited to share an awesome travel experience my sister had to one of the best and most popular tourist destinations in my country Ghana. It's a water falls called "BOTI FALLS" . Boti Falls is a twin waterfall located at Boti in Yilo Krobo District in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

It's a place most tourists that enter the country go to in order to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the natural gift from God and mother nature to my country.

Well my sister had the chance to go there thanks to a school trip organized by the Staff and Administrators of the school. I personally don't go out much. As a programmer and a blogger, I'm hooked to my desk and my computer.

It was truly a dream come true for her because before she got the chance to go there, we had only seen the place in pictures and in local movies. It was even more beautiful and captivating in reality than what we saw in the movies.

What she told me was that, the atmosphere and energy around the Boti Falls was almost palpable. It was like heaven, an absolutely peaceful place and you hear the water falls making it's natural loud and yet enjoyable sound.

What made the trip even more enjoyable is that she had the chance to go there with my best friends. It was one of her best experiences in life.

When she narrated the whole thing she said;

to be honest it was beautiful and then it got scary a bit because it was the first time she sat in a canoe.

She was afraid the whole time that she could fall from the canoe but there were tourist guides and security men and women there to ensure safety. So that took the edge off a bit but she was still a bit anxious. She really enjoyed myself a lot though.

I won't forget to talk about the beautiful giant rocks around the falls. I personally had never seen such gaint stones before. It had a completely different feel to it. She almost thought that had to be man made but it felt too natural for her to conclude with that.

She said she took a few pictures and videos and I wish I could share the videos but I would have to use 3speak for that so I'll do that another time maybe in this community if only I'm allowed to.

The boys included in the trip were doing what boys usually do, messing around with mother nature 😅. The girls were taking a lot of selfies for all their numerous and different social media accounts.

There were some very good meals

I envy my sister because she had some very good food to eat too. I wish I was there to eat some but she managed to finish the entire meal with her friends.

Well everything was included in the cost of the school trip so yeah, they really treated them very well and she said they never felt at any point that they didn't get their money's worth.

The Three headed Palm tree

There were also very unique and beautiful flowers, trees, different and almost unusual breeds of plants. Well that's the water falls for you guys, you get to see things you'll never seen in your residence.

One kind of tree she got to see was a unique Palm tree called the three headed palm tree. It was literally a palm tree with three heads.

It was something I'm pretty sure you haven't seen before because palm trees don't have three heads right. Unfortunately she couldn't take a picture of it because her phone had died before they got to the place were the tree was.

But she told me her friends got pictures of it though so definitely another time I may ask her to get it for me so I can share them with you.

They went Rock climbing

One of the coolest things they did was to go Rock climbing over some of the giant rocks around the place.

One thing she said she'll never forget is the experience she had when they were descending down the rocks. She noticed this extremely beautiful and almost crystal white river with water that looked like there was not a single dirt in it. Nature is truly a miracle.

Before you go rock climbing, you would have to pass through a particular door and that's were they meet the tour guide who ensures safety of the people climbing the rock.

The umbrella Rock

One of the coolest and unique things she saw was a rock that was shaped like an umbrella. I guess the rock is natural but was shaped by people into an umbrella.

It's truly a pity that I couldn't get pictures of that from her. But I'm very certain that you can search it online and perhaps see what I'm talking about. Just type "boti falls umbrella rock" and you'll see a lot of pictures of the rock.

There were a lot of stuff to buy

Well apart from the privilege of sight seeing some of the most awesome things mother nature has made, there were a lot of cool stuff being sold around.

One thing that you would see being sold a lot was Cocoa. Our country is basically the second largest exporters of Cocoa so you would expect a lot of that to be sold. They also sold very cool art works and local Stuff based on our culture.

The End of The Journey

In her words, it was an absolutely unique and wonderful experience. The experience got even better because her besties were with her the whole time. They really enjoyed themselves.

The trip started early in the morning in their school bus and ended in the evening where they returned back to the school safely for everyone to go to their homes. She will certainly never forget this experience.

Boti Falls, a place where your imaginations becomes a reality.
