Prompt Engineering in Generative AI

Generative AI technology has been getting a lot of attention from businesses because companies are trying to adopt this technology. This has already been the case when companies I have adopted chat GPT-like tools to make their operations better. They want to drive efficiency in the business and the ultimate goal for them is to reduce the cost by reducing the manpower. They are trying to use this technology to automate activities that are repetitive and do not require any analytic work to be done.

We already have some form of RPA technology which is also known as robotic process automation. In my organization, they follow two methodologies known as QPA and RPA. QPA is quick cross automation that is done through Microsoft Excel macros and RPA is robotic process automation where some different tools are used on the blueprint. QPA automation can be done in a few days depending upon the feasibility and the activity we are going to automate. With RPA It takes longer because there are certain expenses involved and we target to automate a bigger set of activities through this.

Now while I have already shared that I am going through certain processes and part of the automation team to drive digitization in the business. I'm trying to assess different activities from different departments and see how we can automate using a different set of technology that can also include the generative AI or we can call it to chat get. There are a few activities where the automation will be done with the combination of rta along with the generative ai.

Now let's also talk about the prompt engineering because this is another important part when we talk about degenerating AI. Getting things done with tools like chat GPT is a way to deal with BOT. We should know what command to use for such generative AI tools and better use of command can also turn out to be the better outcome. Many people do not know how to use the prompt for such tools and that is where prompt engineering is a need. It is a vast topic today where different tips and tricks are shared and if you follow that then you can use such tools in a much better way. I have gone through some of the articles for prompt engineering and trying to learn more but as I have already mentioned that it is a vast topic and will need more time to learn and understand.

If you are using chat GPT Then you should also look for the prompt engineering articles because I believe nobody's perfect and the room for learning and improvement is always there. Learning more about prompt engineering can help you improve the way you work with such generative AI tools and all this I can say based on my experience because I have been doing it for the last few weeks. I hope that you get some better insight and better commands to be used for getting things done using chat GPT or any other AI tool that you use as now we have multiple options in the list.

This new technology is so exciting and cool stuff that is worth learning more about because in the future this will get more adopted so better to have more knowledge and understanding about it. I'm not from a technology background but now I'm spending more time on this to learn and understand as much as possible. In my company, some people come to me and say that with such an automation initiative, I am trying to reduce the jobs for people but this is not the case. I have been too old to reduce the manual intervention on various activities from different departments and whoever will be getting additional bandwidth will be used for many new things coming up.
