Quite scary that I've seen those bkack beetles black beetles around in school 😭😂
Although I'd never squished one.
Just flicked it off if it was on furniture or ignored it on the field.

These beetles are definitely in Nigeria. So...maybe you did see them. Good thing you don't crush bugs! Why would you bother a bug in the field if it was minding its own business?😂
