RE: Redundant Security

What happened today in France is the reason I keep thinking if installing a wifi security camera in the farm. It is true there is not too much damage anyone can do hacking it, but I kind of hate having to be "connected" and vulnerable to the whole world just to be able to keep an eye on the farm.
The internet of things seemed to be "the new frontier" of connectivity a few years ago. I remember ads of connected fridges letting you get info on what you needed to purchase. I am sure, many people will think about purchasing one of these units after what happened in France.

But many will not choose to acknowledge the risk, opting for convenience instead. Convenience is the selling point for a lot of harm.
