Why should we forgive?

It is very normal that as human beings we make mistakes, those mistakes can lead us to make other people suffer, it is also very true that in some way or another in the course of our life we have been hurt by someone and that this has triggered a suffering in us. All this understanding leads us to conclude that either because we are aware of our actions, or because we have unwittingly caused suffering and have been made to suffer.

You may wonder about the reasons why I open this post with this little introduction, which may not have to do with the reasons why we must forgive, however if we analyze a little we must keep in mind that either we make someone else suffer, or we are made to suffer, both scenarios make us feel a great pain, so a very natural way to heal is to ask for forgiveness to the people we have hurt and forgiving the people who have hurt us, in this way our soul and mind are released from the torment that afflicts us because we do not know how to forgive or ask for forgiveness.

Generally we go through these sentimental spaces that hurt us due to the pride we have of not wanting to ask for forgiveness and that also makes it impossible for us to forgive those who offend us, once we free ourselves from this pride, then we allow ourselves to forgive and accept the forgiveness of others, which makes us not to carry so much resentment in our soul, which at the same time can become guilt, anguish and extreme pain.

The learning of the case is that we must forgive and ask for forgiveness under whatever circumstances, all with the intention of avoiding getting sick with pain and with this we nip in the bud such issues of guilt that for our welfare should be buried once we have already forgiven and asked for forgiveness.
