Honesty and integrity are similar, but not the same

Being honest we associate it with that way of acting in terms of being able to tell the truth, while integrity is that virtue that many have in terms of acting correctly according to the morals imposed by our society, when we analyze these two concepts we can conclude that they are terms that can be linked but would hardly be well used as synonyms.

Honesty may not be so closely linked to our personality, since we inherit honesty, we learn it as a fundamental principle in our upbringing, however when we claim that a person is upright is because we see many generalized aspects that are positive in that person, these aspects may already be intrinsic and related to a personality acquired by that person.

One way to conceptualize these personal qualities is to admit that they have only one meaning in reciprocity, i.e. we can say that a person of integrity is an honest person, but in the other direction we can say that not all honest people are honest. All this is possible because of the breadth of qualities that integrity has.
