The Growing Role of Technology in Our Everyday Lives
Today's topic is the role of technology in our daily usage. In today's time, we all are involved with technology. Technology is everywhere in our daily routine in some way or the other. As soon as we wake up in the morning, the first thing we do is check our phone and those messages and email notifications. All this is just a simple technology which gives us so much convenience and speed that we cannot even imagine our life without technology, and that must have become very difficult. But the question is why do we need technology so much? Because it has become a big habit for us. In today's time, we cannot do anything without technology and tech. Suppose you can live for a whole year or two without a phone. Not at all; that is why there will be too much technology at one time.
There was a time when technology was a luxury, with only a select few owning phones and TVs. We would queue up for hours in front of PCO to make a call, and we were charged exorbitant amounts. Sometimes, if we wanted to play a game, we would sit in gaming cafes, but in today's times, all this is a daily essential, not a luxury. And personally, I still find it very difficult to go a single day without technology or a phone because we're so involved and addicted to it that many people's work is done just to see a wheel. Many people sit there 24 hours a day to complete their work.
Similarly, if we talk about studies, online classes, educational videos, and digital notes have brought us so many benefits today. In the past, we used to have to buy books worth three or four thousand rupees every month. Nowadays, all of that is available in e-books and digital books, and that too for free. Previously, we had to pay lakhs of rupees in tuition fees. But today, on channels like YouTube, you can find excellent educators teaching you for free. This is all due to technology. There are many things in life that benefit you, and this is the best thing because it requires no payment or effort; it requires only one thing: to study at your own will. Only then will this be a truly valuable tool. You can study whenever you want, and if you don't understand, it's a 2-minute video. You can solve your problem by watching it again. Technology has made knowledge democratic and means equally available to everyone.
In earlier times, it would take months for people to meet or talk to each other because they didn't have phones. There was no way to call. In today's times, when we can see each other in real life by calling during office hours, people used to yearn to see each other. Nowadays, we're just one type away. We go to WhatsApp and call whoever we need. It's such a great and easy way to talk to anyone from anywhere, no matter the distance. People used to write letters. A reply would take weeks. But now, a message reaches us instantly, and whatever we need to do is in front of us. This doesn't just strengthen relationships; it also deepens our emotional connection. Distance matters less; connection matters more.
Technology has made everything very easy these days. Be it planning, organisation, execution, managing information, improving time management or reducing mistakes, for example, auto tools, eye assistants and smart apps reduce the workload by half, and where earlier it used to take 5 to 6 hours to make a single thing, today with the help of Eye we can make the same thing in one and a half hours. We only had to work on the detailing, and we got all that stuff done very easily. This efficiency not only saves us time, but it also saves us time, and in the same time we can do some other work which will also increase the growth of our company.
You can do your own research, learn yourself and take your own decisions, and you will not get this confidence from just one place. Earlier, people have developed one or the other small mistake, but today, technology makes you keep programmes; be it in cooking or recipes, you will get a video. You will get a video for everything. Now if you need anything, you can chat secretly like on WhatsApp, and it will explain everything to you, and it has made your life very easy. Technology has really made our life so easy that we cannot even imagine. How did people live in earlier times? I am scared to think about it because in today's time, where there is so much, we can do everything in one click. This did not happen in earlier times.
