The two edged sword of science||the good and the bad sides

Greetings!

One thing I have got to know about science is that it's been a source of blessing to us and it's really helped us in solving our human problems.

The scientific innovations of this world has done us more good than harming us. Talk of anything in this generation, you will surely see science at work.

Talk of medicine, the advent of science has really helped us to live long and healthy. Gone were the days when people died of ignorance because they didn't know what to use to cure their ailments. In those days, people just assumed that this is what's happening to this person healthwise without even knowing what's actually wrong with that person, but the advent of science with the various scientific machines used for diagnosis had really helped us not to assume but to know what's wrong with someone that's not feeling fine.

Also, aside from knowing what's wrong with the individual being threatened healthwise, science has really improved to the level of knowing what drug to be prescribed for the ailing individual to be cured. That's actually the power and effects of science on the human race in this particular dispensation.

Furthermore, aside from the medical line or field, the advent of science has really brought a series of changes to other sectors of our daily life. In the field of agricultural practices, the advent of science has really helped us in the development of hybrid seeds which would not take long time to grow, we have manure and fertilizer which we now use to make our plant grow faster, our livestock are also enjoying the positive effects of science and with this, I can boldly say, science is the sole controller of our daily life in this current dispensation.

But as good as science is, there's some aspects of it that are not too good to the human race. In fact, we have so many aspects of science that are posing danger and threats to the existence of humans and the earth as a whole.

Without wasting much of our time, I would like to talk about one of those ways through which science has posed a threat to human existence. Though, there are many ways, but this one I'm about to talk about has to do with human lives and that's I said it's really posing danger to human existence as this can really wipe out the human race from the face of the earth.

What's that scientific innovation that's posing a threat to the human race and the world at large? The scientific innovation of building or developing chemical weapons with autonomy by those countries that have the capacity of building is one of those dangers and high handedness of science so far. Now we now see countries threatening themselves with this powerful chemical weapon built via science.

The use of scientific innovation to build these weapons is actually a threat to world peace and it's really affecting the peaceful co-existence of the world. Now, people are no longer living in peace in some parts of the world. Aside from this, we now see countries aligning and forming alliances with some of the powerful countries of the world to wage war against other countries that have also formed alliances with themselves. All this was due to the scientific invention and innovation of building all these deadly weapons to wage war against each other.

So, the scientific innovation of building the chemical weapons which is a weapon of destruction is one of those negative limits science has broken and this is a way too much for the world and the human race to bear.

Like I said earlier, the advent of science has really brought about good things to this world, but the unrest happening in the world today, especially between Iran and Israel, is one of the negative sides of science which has brought about life threatening moments and troubles to the peace of the world.
