Self defense should be mandatory

Greetings!

The insecurity in the world is now growing on a daily basis as people are now being killed and kidnapped. It's just as if the world is coming to an end as what we are witnessing now has never been witnessed by those that have been in existence before us.

So, where we now find ourselves is where our forefathers have never foreseen before now, but even at that, all is still well.

Having said so much about the increase in the insecurity of life and properties around us, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt which is all about, “your ways to self defense.”

As for me, I don't really think I have any way to defend myself in the face of insecurity that's happening around us currently.

But if there's a way for me to defend myself, I would say, it's been sensitive to the things around me as I would like to go with the slogan in my community which says, “If you see something, you must say something.”

What this means is that, whenever we say any strange thing around us, we must not hesitate, but try to speak to us so as to avoid being attacked by those evil people who are disturbing the peace of our communities.

This to me, is a form of self defense as it would help us to flush out the insecurity around us.

Also, on the question as to if self defense should be taught in school, I would say that, it should be taught in school, most especially during this delicate and volatile time when insecurity is the order of the day, but one thing is that, if it's being taught in our schools, then people would know how to defend themselves when the need be which would in turn help us to secure our lives and properties.

Have I been caught in the midst of insecurity that I needed to defend myself? The answer is a capital No, as I have not been caught in the midst of insecurity before.

In conclusion, self defense should become part of our learning curriculum in school as this would help us when the need be and also, the best form of self defense is to be vigilant to the going around us.
