The saying that says, “if you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail.” It is not just an ordinary but deep saying which helps us to plan our lives to succeed in life.
If planning would bring us success, I wonder why it's so difficult for many of us to plan our spending through adequate budgeting, but the reverse is the case.
Although, I have recently begun planning how to spend my money, not even salary alone, but every other money as it might come into my pocket or cover.
Before now, the way I spend my money cannot be accounted for, sometimes I give out too much even when not budgeted for. I'm not saying that it's not good ooo, but one thing I have realized now is that not everything kobo of ours must be planned as this would always curb our excessive spending.
Aside from this, i also used to spend without limit, going out with friends to enjoy ourselves anytime i get paid, i spend on frivolities and all sorts of.
However, I came to my senses recently when I had a personal retreat about my life and realized that I have not been accountable to myself on how I spend my money. I realized that I am not where I'm supposed to be and that those people I called my friends are far above me.
So, after i have examined myself closely, i decided to stop my reckless spending without further delay, at first, it's so difficult as those people i called my friends were not so happy with my decision, some were even saying i have run into debt, but i never mind nor care about their thoughts towards me.
I took the bull by the horn and started living a budgeted life which people perceived to be a life of stinginess, but which is not so. After everything, i realized that i am never broke like before and now, i can venture into a big project which i can boldly tell us i can execute with ease.
In conclusion, a budgeted life is the best life i have lived so far and before i spend now, i must know the usefulness of what to spend on as i have mapped out my spending.

You really made a good decision, living a budgeted life is good and would save you from unnecessary expenses, that doesn't mean you are stingy, it means you are a wise spender.
That decision to stop spending recklessly and save more is the best. Change is the most difficult and constant thing. But once it is successful, the result will be overwhelming. Imagine, your friends never want you to curtail your spending-free lifestyle. Thank goodness for that reflection that gave you a 360-degree turnaround.
