Redefining The Future With Technology
As the days go by, technology keeps evolving at an insane speed. We are now seeing what we never thought would be possible some years back. Take mobile telephony for example; a few years back, no one knew that someone would be talking from one part of the world, and being heard in the other part of the world thousands of miles apart. But now, we have seen the possibility with the advent of mobile phones and similarly techs. The world keeps changing and what we need to do is to embrace the changes as they come. Humans moved from crude stone tools of the past to the smart tools of the present - this goes to prove how technology is redefining the future.

Change has become a very pivotal part of the human lives, and it is constant. In the world of technology, we have seen and still seeing changes in a lot of ways. From the invention of simple tools over the last century to the creation of the Artificial Intelligence of the present era, technology has found a way to shape how we live, how we act, think, communicate with people, and even our environment. The speed at which the changes in technology is happening these days is so much that it is only those who welcome it, rather then resist it, will thrive in it.
I have come to realise that technology has gone way beyond machines and gadgets, it has become among the strong pillars upon which the modern society is built. Take for example; when technological revolution arrived in the world of communication, we saw how chats, video calls, voice notes replaced letters. When technology entered the educational sector, we saw possibilities existing outside the physical classroom settings, where lectures and other schooling activities are now done virtually with e-learning. This makes it possible for student across continents to connect to a single classroom. Even in your workplace for example, your data analytics softwares are replacing physical records. AI and industrial automation are replacing manual physical labour. These changes are not only affecting the present, but they are building the future and reshaping humankind in ways that you cannot even explain.
In order to welcome these technological changes that we are witnessing and even the ones coming, you need to first adopt the right mindset. That is, a mindset of openness, adaptability, and curiosity. It take a curious mind to embrace new technologies. It is true that, at first, certain fears may be entertained, like the fear of the unknown, and some resistance may be encountered too, but it does not stop the curious mind from taking advantage of new technologies. When the world shifted from manual typewriter to computer system, it was definitely met with resistance, but it did not stop it from advancing. This goes to prove that you cannot stop a change whose time has come, you can only stop yourself from participating in the change.

Technology has brought so many opportunities in ways you have never imagined. Someone with a smart phone or a computer system with Internet connectivity right in the comfort of their home, can connect with the rest of the world, learn new skills, start a new business, and even build global audience. You will be surprised how a lot of businesses are now revolving around technology, and of course, it has created a lot of job opportunities in this era. In almost every aspect of the human endeavour, technology is now being represented. Take agriculture for example; imagine farming a large piece of land with just your manual hoe and cutlass, you will expend so much energy and achieve less. But with tractors, cultivators, etc, the job will be easier and better. You see, technology has also redefined the future of agriculture.
It is worthy to note that embracing the new technological evolution will require extra responsibility. Just as it is said "great power comes with great responsibility and great accountability." As we welcome new tools, it is important that they are used for greater good and not for harm. That is, they are used to build and not to destroy. It is not really the technology itself that makes you who you are, but it is what you do with it. Understand that there is usually two sides to any emerging technology, but it is the side you decide to focus on that will make you who you are.
