The blockchain technology has being gaining more popularity for some time now, with different technology industries drifting their services into it. This act of drifting is as a result of the transparency and benefits it gives to tech companies and its users.

The blockchain technology, which is a direct brand of the web3.0 project is establishing itself, and will also make further establishment in other sectors.

The government, which are the principal body, with the authority to govern a country or state, have being trilled by the vast growing of this blockchain technology.

Remember, that in recent time, El Salvador made crypto currency legal tender, which is a product of the blockchain technology.

Aside the highlighted crypto info above, we would be more concerned with the blockchain technology.

What Is Blockchain ?

Blockchain is a distributed ledger that duplicates and distributes different transactions across multiple computer networks. This distributed ledgers are recorded on the blockchain, and are very difficult to hack or changed.

How Can Government Use This Technology ?

I believe every country in the world today, uses identification number system, to identify every single person living in a particular country. The idea of identification number, was solely for security purposes, which is mainly controlled by the government of a state.

This datas are centralized, as they are being stored in a database centre, where large amounts of money are being spent for operation.

The idea of blockchain technology for storing this identification numbers, helps to reduce cost of maintenance on government data centres.

Using the blockchain technology, to store the identity of citizens, would be helpful, as this data's can be distributed globally.
We should note that this datas can be seen, but can't be altered by anyone.

How Can This Technology Get Datas Generally ?

Globally, we have more than 5.18Billion users, using digital devices/internet. This means that getting users information won't be a problem.

Reasons
So many mobile applications/web3 platforms, requires facial/biometric recognitions, photos of correct personal information like birth cert, school cert,etc.
This informations can be stored into the blockchain, which can be helpful in the future.

The blockchain technology can be of great benefit to the world at large, by implementing its use in storing identification numbers. The following are few benefits of this technology...

• Identity of persons can be easily recognize, when going for other verifications.
• It reduces cost of maintenance on database centres.
• New information about a personal can easily be added to the previous.
• It helps to reduce fradulent act, by those hiding their real age and names, etc.

We should note that identification number does not contain any sensitive information, like bank details, so it can be generally viewed by everyone, and note just the government.

My Opinion

The government can act as a catalyst, to increase the growth/development of the blockchain technology, by implementing it in different sectors of the country. Blockchain technology has more to offer, other than crypto currency, but i think crypto currency has being the best project so far 🤗.

In Conclusion

It is certain that so many people wants to be at the top(incharge), but what the blockchain technology has installed for us, is far beyond that. Making every thing decentralized, by putting things in automatic order is a better version of the world.
