Ten years ago if someone had told me that we will see technology develop like this I would have said they were lying. I remember when the first concept driving car was introduced to the world and how far the manufacturers predicted it will take for them to come into effect.

In 2024, we have self driving cars even though they are not in full effect yet or should I say it is we humans who don’t trust them just yet? But whether are acknowledge it or not there are self driving cars of which some of them are used in the transportation industry outside of Africa.

I remember back in the days now difficult it was to own a laptop. The best most people could do was try to buy an affordable computer which sat at home until they needed it for anything. The thing about the advancement of all these things that I am talking about is that you never anticipate them until they are in full flow.

This brings me to the concept of artificial intelligence. I remember the first time I was introduced to artificial intelligence. I first of all liked the technology so much but then in the back of my mind it was going to take a long time to develop and be able to do simple tasks. Fast forward a few years and AI is doing a whole lot better than I or anyone could have imagined. The thing about technology is that you can never ever anticipate what is next as there are always breaking points to look up to.

Let me take chat gpt as a perfect example. I never in a million years imagined that there can be a AI chat box which shows or can help someone to build a code. The funny thing about this is that when it was first introduced we all said and thought it was meant to act as an aid but in a few months time it count build a whole code down from scratch. Not that building a code down from scratch is easy but chat gpt does it with ease.

As I write this post I am imagining what we thought in those years. We thought it’ll be virtually impossible of technology to advance to some of the levels that it has reached at the moment and boy we now know that technology can do. In a few years time we will see things that we never even imagined could happen and they will be around.

In the year 2050 some of us might not be alive to see what the future holds but I think in those years to come we will see things which we have seen in movies for some time now and always thought “oh this can only happen in movies”. We will see things which we never ever thought could be in existence. With technology we will always get surprised. As I always say, technology will always bring things which look like humans going to the moon for the first time.

When humans were able to go to the moon for that first time it was a big deal back then and now it looks so normal. That is what technology will strive to achieve.
