Are We Taking Advantage of Animals?

We as humans have always made a lot of noise about how we are better than our forefathers. I say it’s noise cause we kind of think we are better off than our forefathers. Up until today I for one still believe that there are certain things that we have been lied to about the past. A lot of things when you think about it don’t add up but that’s a topic for another day.

We’ve always known off lab rats since the beginning of time. Whether labs rats started with animals or not I don’t think I have the best answer to that. But growing up we knew that lab rats were used for all kinds of experiments. For what reason or how they became into being am sure we will need an in-depth analysis of how this happened.

For me, I don’t think what the scientists do or how they perform their analysis can be changed. They have put in years of study to determine that if animals are used to some kind of experiment their system functions in similar fashion as a human being. This gives them an assurance that after several tries it’ll eventually work on a human. These tests are sometimes dangerous enough that the only way they can get the right way is by using animal. I am sure if we have the chance to speak to animals they’ll probably say they don’t want to be used as lab rats cause in most cases the first tries either take their life's or put them in unthinkable conditions.

If you were to ask an animal to choose between it and a human being a pan rat they’ll most definitely go the human as the lab rat. This is because a human dying has no negative impact to them so why not. Taking the life of an animal I am sure is the same as a human looking on whiles the life of his fellow human is being taken to that animal.

Are there other ways that this can be done? Well, as much as I think the animal system can display similarities to that of humans, some situations still need the real user to be tested it on. A perfect example is with the covid drug. Human samples had to be used to determine how good the drugs were. In this case much focus had to be put on making a good drug which wouldn’t cause a lot of casualties upon testing.

Well, currently I don’t think there are any other ways we can do this. If there were other and better ways we wouldn’t have to use animals as lab rats. For now it’s the safer option to use and I am sure as times goes on we’ll get even better ways of doing this.

What do you think about the situation? Do you think that we humans are taking too much advantage of these animals because they can’t defend themselves? What other ways do you suggest scientists use to test out their products.
