OMG!!! I FINALLY HAVE A 12V POWERED BLENDER!!

I haven't been so excited about a piece of tech in aggggeees! When we were living on travellers sites back in the early 2000's we would have killed for a USB charged 12V blender but they just weren't really invented yet. But now they are! Woo hoo! Bring the time machine, I'm taking a crate back to 1999!!!

Being summer, I drink a lot of smoothies, usually with linseeds and collagen powder, you know, for the menopause. A handful of berries, or mango, or banana, maybe some probiotic rich yoghurt, and some water and lime juice - it's a yummy breakfast! So going travelling in Tassie meant no blender = no smoothies. Damn.

But hey, it's 2024, and theres a whole WEALTH of 12v lithium powered smoothie machines out there. If you can wade through all the fake reviews maybe you'll find a decent one. The Blendjet 2 seemed to fit the bill, and better yet, it was only $30 AUD on a Black Friday discount. The postage was apalling and I had to wait two weeks, but hey, it's here now!

I had my doubhts but it did me a smoothie no problem. They say about 15 x 40 second shots before you need to recharge. I think I'll use it instead of my ordinary Optimum 9000 blender which is so big for just a single smoothie.

It even finished off my coriander chutney for me, which the big blender wasn't handling. So as long as there's a bit of liquid in there and the greens are finely chopped, it'll blend them into a smmoooooth paste as well. The chutney is basically a tomato, a birds eye chilli, some lemon juice, salt and olive oil - this is going over my roast beetroot, roast potato, and roast zucchini tonight, topped with a salmon steak.

Damn. Life can be good!

With Love,

Awesome, sounds like it is rather powerful 😎
It will be so easy to use…. Anywhere actually. Especially on the road.

Things get better after a while especially when travellers give feedback for improvements.
It is excited I can imagine.

Love it when a bit of equipment actually lives up to what it is supposed to do!

Hot damn what a cool toy! Congratulations!!

I got a blender bottle and do basic protein powder on the road. At one point I was making powder out of freeze dried fruit, which was super expensive. I also learned just how vile kale powder tastes. You'd think it would be bland, but no. It burns. But THIS! Next big summer trip, I'm gonna have me some fresh smoothies.
