In recent times, staying connected to the internet has become a major challenge, from the problem of poor network reception from service providers to the exorbitant prices of data. It is to be expected that with the introduction of the new development with the network services, the introduction of 3G and later 4G would have made the network speed faster, but it is usually the case of having the network slower each time a new generation of mobile telecommunication technology, the older one becomes a bit obsolete and slower not comparing to the new one but in comparison to its one speed before the introduction of the new one. This happens because of resource reallocation, moving bandwidth to newer technology, causing congestion with slower speeds on the old technology.

It is important to note that to connect to the internet, you will need a hardware device, which is a computer (PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone), a modem or a router and will have to be subscribed to an internet service provider. We have numerous internet service providers in Nigeria; these include, among others, Starlink, MTN, Airtel, Smile Communication, Spectranet, Fiberone and so on.

I usually use my smartphone device to connect to the internet; I will also use my phone in frequent instances to serve as a hotspot device whenever I want to access the internet through my computer. I have a device called the Mifi (a portable wireless device that uses the cellular network to create a WiFi hotspot that allows multiple devices to connect at a time), which I acquired during the period my smartphone was missing, and I needed a hotspot device. In the event of getting a new phone, I realised that the device is as good as my smartphone since it uses the same generation of mobile telecommunication technology, which is the 4G, making it have the same network speed.
It is important to note the challenges faced by internet service users, making it important for service providers to improve infrastructures and ensure the affordability of data services in Nigeria. Although the arrival of Starlink is a great development it will scare you to know that the cost of installation is high and the cost of data is unaffordable for the lower class like myself. The government should also provide better regulations that will protect the consumers of the internet service.

Lmao. Starlink is not for the week. The price of installation and monthly subscription is not something we can all afford. How much are we making monthly to be able to afford a 75k monthly subscription for Starlink? I know, not much.
you don see am na..lol
thanks for reading my post.
