THE ARCHITECTURE OF MY JOY: BUILDING A LIFE ON LOVE AND HOPE

It gives me joy every dawn to realise how fortunate I am—coming from a loving family, having kind people as friends, and always thinking of someone I want the best for. The most valuable thing about life, what makes it joyful, is the people we are surrounded with—those we share our days with, interact with daily. Life feels different now that you have a person for you, someone you've chosen, who is happy you chose them and who has chosen you in return. The highlight of my day is usually hearing from that special someone. I get chills in my heart just thinking about this someone or hearing the voice of this someone.

Life is full of ups and downs and the struggle of everyday survival, but having loving people around that makes the struggle of everyday worth it, is a thing of joy, knowing fully well that you have people around you at all times, who will be there for you and will not get tired of showing up for you when you need them.

One of the things that gives me joy the most is the time I spend here, writing on Hive. The Hive blockchain has become a place where I am free to write down my thoughts without being criticised for it. The Hive blockchain has also brought me the most beautiful of all connections that one will dream of having, having people who serve as inspiration to me every day. Sometimes, I log on to the Hive blockchain just to read people's posts, and this makes me feel connected to them. The Hive community has made me feel like a part of a global community rather than a lone writer. It gives me joy whenever I see people engaging with my post.

An act that has always been a source of my joy is being there for people, stepping up for others and filling up any void space in their lives when they need me and making sure, in my capacity, that they have even the slightest feeling that they matter a lot to someone. The understanding that the things you have were given to you by God, not for you, but you were given all of those things to serve as an instrument of God, using you to reach out to His children whenever they are in need. I feel more fulfilled most times when I stand in the gap for others, when others are happy because of me, because of what I did for them. This gives me more joy. I get deep satisfaction from that, having people remember me as the person who was there for them in times they needed someone; that is what gives me joy.

Having hope for a better tomorrow also makes me joyful, knowing and having the conviction that my tomorrow is better than my today. Whenever I sit to think about my life, I see how far I have come; my today has always been better than my yesterday. This gives me confidence every day that my tomorrow is bigger, greater and better than my today, and the thought of this lightens my mood and fills me with extra joy. I am not allowed to have a sad day, so I try to find joy in the people around me and in the hope of tomorrow.
