Yesterday I came across a very interesting tweet where the developers of Marvel Snap promised to give away a special variant of Spider-Man, an avatar and several enhancers to all those who watched a portion of at least half an hour of the transmission of the GamesCon 2023, one of the most important events in the world of video games, using Twitch.

I must admit that I have never been a Twitch user, in fact, for this very reason I was not familiar with the fact that this streaming platform had an internal "Drops" system that, properly linked to certain games, could reward us for being part of it. of certain transmissions.

Still, the decision for me wasn't particularly difficult: I could see a couple of announcements at GamesCon 2023 (All under the #OpeningNightLive HT), and apart from getting all the previously mentioned rewards, I would familiarize myself with the current state of the industry. and all the premieres that will come this year and in the first half of 2024.

I have to say that the experience was quite "weird", and while the great amount of effort and resources that goes into these events is undeniable, there was nothing that made me fall in love.

Is it a matter of my age? Is the video game industry stagnant? All these are questions that we can answer another day, for now I just want to admit that all the titles shown looked good (Particularly an RPG based on Journey to the west, the story that inspired Dragon Ball), and why of the special drop (The premiere of Marvel Snap on the Steam platform) was officially revealed.

There are a couple of exciting announcements, Alan Wake will have a sequel after more than 13 years, Mortal Kombat continues to solidify the formula used since the 9th title and Rebel Moon (The Netflix movie created by Zack Snyder that had a special appearance at the conference ) demonstrates the potential to travel organically to other formats such as literature and video games (Obviously).

For my part, I accomplished my mission, got the variant I wanted in Marvel Snap, and got familiar with an app that I was totally unaware of. I can't complain either.

Debo admitir que nunca he Sido un usuario de Twitch, de hecho, por esto mismo no me encontraba familiarizado con que esta plataforma de streaming contaba con un sistema interno de "Drops" que, vinculado apropiadamente a ciertos juegos, podría brindarnos recompensar al formar parte de ciertas transmisiones.

Todas estas son preguntas que podemos responder otro día, de momento quiero limitarme a reconocer que todos los títulos mostrados se veían bien (Particularmente un RPG basado en Journey to the west, la historia que sirvió de inspiración para Dragon Ball), y, el motivo del drop especial (El estreno de Marvel Snap en la plataforma de Steam) fue revelado oficialmente.
