Although I am not the biggest fan of artificial intelligence (or at least the way it is being used recently on the internet) I must admit that not only is it a tool that can considerably facilitate and automate many tedious tasks, only at the same time At the same time, being familiar with its operation can help us cope with the task of distinguishing when it is being used maliciously.

For this reason, I appreciate when there are applications like Copilot, which, although it is nothing more than a shortcut dedicated to the artificial intelligence of Bing and GPT-4 (Property of Microsoft), is characterized by a high level of accessibility, something that unfortunately We cannot say about all other AIs either due to paywalls, regions, or the need to have advanced computer skills.

My point is that like many other internet tools, in the end it would be unfair to classify them as good or bad, and the important thing is to know how to control them as users or consumers.

Although it is not one of the most powerful options on the market, it is undeniable that it is one of the most complete, something clearly affected by its use of bing.

In copilot we can ask simple and complex questions, as well as create images using simple prompts, all relatively quickly.

On the other hand, the possibility of changing between gpt-3 and 4 (although it represents a more limited use in the case of the latter) is particularly useful depending on the level of complexity of the conversation that we want to carry out, or failing that, the task. that we need to give to AI.

My advice? Absolute caution, especially when you intend to use these platforms with serious or academic investigative methods, although they can be extremely convenient for synthesizing information and can end up doing complex work for us, it is important to know how to use them to the correct extent, more as an intermediate tool than It brings us closer to the information and not as the direct source of it, this will not only improve the quality of our research, but it is much more ethical (and legal) from a copyright perspective.

Mi punto es que al igual que muchas otras herramientas de internet, al final sería injusto catalogarlas de buenas o malas, y lo importante es saber controlarlas cómo usuarios o consumidores.

Si bien no es una de las opciones más potentes en el mercado, es innegable que resulta una de las las completas, algo claramente afectado por su uso de bing.

En copilot podemos hacer preguntas simples y complejas, así como crear imágenes utilizando prompts simples, todo con relativa rapidez.

Por otro lado, la posibilidad de cambiar entre gpt-3 y 4 (Aunque supone un uso más limitado en el caso de este último) resulta particularmente útil dependiendo del nivel de complejidad de la conversación que querramos llevar, o en su defecto, la tarea que necesitemos otorgarle a la IA.

¿Mi consejo? La prudencia absoluta, especialmente cuando se pretende utilizar estás plataformas con métodos investigativos serios o académicos, aunque pueden ser extremadamente cómodos para sintetizar información y pueden terminar haciendo trabajos complejos por nosotros, es importante saber utilizarlos en la medida correcta, más como una herramienta Intermedia que nos acerca a la información y no como la fuente directa de la misma, esto no solo va a mejorar la calidad de nuestras investigaciones, sino que resulta muchísimo más ético (y legal) desde una perspectiva de copyright.
