What does Microstrategy actually do anyway...?

I'm sure everyone's who is into Bitcoin has heard of the company Microstrategy, because it apparently owns around 0.7% of the entire Bitcoin supply, or just under $5 billion in BTC at current prices.

It has to be said that's quite a commitment to Bitcoin!

But I got to wondering what it is that Microstrategy actually does....?

The short answer is...

Data Analytics!

Or the slightly longer answer is cloud based data analytics for businesses.

I obviously didn't sign up for any of their services, I imagine the subscription fees are pretty mental given that Microstrategy mainly targets business and health sectors, but it basically enables clients to receive up to date analytics and integrate these into customisable dashboards to provide insights, or just for the fun of it!

Their cloud based systems allow clients to build this sort of thing...

I actually got more of an idea about their range of services by looking at their competitors...

It really bigs itself up compared to Tableau, which I know most about, but I also know the later is a bit clunky, and there's plenty of room for improvement.

So that's what MS does... provides an integrated data analytics suite which does everything from scraping to visualisation!

Microstrategy's Share Price...

Looks good so far this year...

And maybe just a smidge of a correlation with the BTC price...?

Hmmmm... MS stock, not sure that's a buy for me!
