My New (Old) Laptop

Hello everyone a few days ago I bought an old secondhand laptop (new for me). It's Dell Inspiron 5737 with 17 inch 900p screen, 8gb (2x4gb) sk hynix ddr3 1600mHz dual channel ram, 240gb sata ssd, Intel i5 4200u haswell cpu, stereo speakers, back lighted keyboard. I never owned a dell product and I'm already surprised with the build quality despite it's released in 2013-2014 it looks like new and premium. I paid 58 bucks for it cuz the battery is dead and it had slight cosmetic issues. I'll be using it for watching YouTube videos, browsing the internet, playing browser web3 p2e games, writing articles here and so on. Despite it has weak cpu it's good enough for my needs and I'm planning to upgrade it in next few years with the money I make online through blogging, trading, playing web3 games like terracore, splinterlands and other interesting ones.

Here are the pros :

17 inch 900p screen - while most laptops come with 15.6 inch this one is large enough to enjoy movies, YouTube videos.

Stereo speakers - it sounds better than most 10-20 bucks Bluetooth speakers I listened.

Backlighted keyboard - it helps to write at home while lights are turned off.

Internal dvd drive - I can watch old movies with it

Here are the cons :

Dead battery - it causes performance slow downs and always needs to be plugged in.

It's old - Forget about playing games and heavy workloads.

Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase and I hope to get better one in upcoming years.
